Your Priesthood Is My Security
Your priesthood is my security:
I pray, I work in you, through you, with you.
Everything becomes efficacious
and fruitful because it draws strength from you.
I trust that your priesthood may communicate to me the spirit
“to serve the living God” (Heb 9:14),
according to the purpose
for which you immolated
and continue to immolate yourself
on the altar:
that I may become a servant of the Father, and receive grace for myself and for the community.
I know that you, High Priest,
understand all the needs of this poor priest.
After this life may you show me
the joyful reward for every fatigue and pain. Amen.

Prayer for Priests
Lord Jesus, present in the Most Holy Sacrament,
You wanted to continue your presence among us through your Priests, grant that their words may always be your words, their gestures, your gestures, so that their lives be a faithful reflection of your life.
May they be men who speak to people about God, and of God to people.
Let them not be afraid to serve,
that they may serve the Church in the way she needs to be served.
Let them be witnesses of eternity in our time, men who move in history with your own steps and doing good to all.
Let them be faithful to their duties, jealous of their vocation and donation, bright mirrors of their identity and may they always live the joy of the gift they received.
I ask this through the intercession of your Holy Mother Mary:
may she, who was present in your life, be always present in the lives of your priests. Amen.

Priest’s Prayer to the Divine Master
Jesus, Divine Master, I thank and bless your most loving Heart for having instituted the priesthood and for my vocation. Priests are sent forth by you as you were sent by the Father. To them you have entrusted the treasures of your doctrine, of your law, of your grace; to them you have entrusted your people.
Jesus, eternal high priest, be for me Way and Truth and Life. May I always be salt that purifies and preserves, light of the world, the city placed on the mountaintop! May everyone love your priests, listen to them, and let themselves be guided on the paths leading to heaven.
Today I renew the resolutions and com-mitments of my holy ordination, and I offer them to you with humility and confidence, with the will to be more faithful to you.
Desiring to live my priesthood fully, I want to prepare myself for a total consecration to you, in the commitment also to observe the evangelical counsels of chastity, poverty, and obedience.
Jesus Divine Master, grant that I may one day be in heaven with a multitude of people saved.
