Stages of FormationAspirancy Stage (Knowing Me! Knowing You!) When a young woman desires to join the Congregation, the first step is to make her desire known to the Vocation Mistress. The young woman begins a journey of discernment that helps her to determine what the Lord is asking of her. During the first stage of aspirancy the young woman gets to know the Congregation, and through constant correspondence with the Vocation Mistress the Congregation gets to know her as well. She is invited to a retreat, and then for a programme called Come and See. This programme consists of an in-house series of activities which introduces the candidate into the apostolic and communal life of the Sisters. During this programme there are classes on Human Formation, Catechism of the Catholic Church, Pauline Life and Mission, Vocation of different people in the Bible, Group Dynamics and Liturgy. These classes are to help the candidate get to know herself better, grow in her knowledge of God, become acquainted with the Congregation in a deeper sense, participate in living with other young women with the same desire as hers, and, most importantly, help her determine the will of God for her life.
