The presence of the Daughters of St Paul in Sudan is a response to the long awaited request by the Church of Sudan. The people of Sudan are in dire need of spiritual and moral support. “It is my prayer and hope that very soon, thanks to the help of Divine Providence, the Daughters of St Paul will be able to establish a community in Juba and to minister to the people of Sudan,” Rt Rev Paolino Lukudu Loro, Archbishop of Juba.

The Daughters of St Paul do not yet have a house of their own in Juba. They are to live in rental houses. At the moment the house is under reconstruction. The Archbishop is also renting to them a Catholic Bookshop situated near the Cathedral of Juba.

Last month, a container of books and some furniture already left Nairobi for Juba. We still need more books and audiovisuals for the families, adults, catechists, seminarians, teenagers and children. Juba is not the only diocese, which is waiting for the Daughters of St Paul! There are 7 other dioceses that are in need of our presence and ministry. Everyone seems to be waitingfor us. You are most welcome to contribute towards this new foundation.
