We are a missionary religious Congregation, founded in Italy, in1915, by Blessed James Alberione and Venerable Sr Tecla Merlo. We are called to know, to live, to witness and to make Christ known in the entire world by our own witness of life. In the Church, we are called and consecrated as apostles for the proclamation of the Gospel with the Means of Social communication.
What Do We do? Our specific Mission is to spread the Gospel using the means of Social Communication: books, magazines, audiovisuals, radio, television and all the means that the modern technology of communication invents. Our boundaries are the boundaries of the world. We go everywhere from one country to another, making
produce films, videos and audio cassettes, run books and media centers, organize book and audiovisual exhibitionsin parishes and schools, and also participate in national and international book fairs.
Women of Prayer We spend our best time with Jesus in prayer, learning from him who is our Master, Way, Truth and life. In him, we find support and strength for our mission. Every day we encounter Jesus in the meditation of the Scriptures, the Mass and the hour of adoration. We have three principle devotions:
In Communion with One Another We live in international communities where sisters from different ethnic backgrounds, cultures, nationalities and races share the same vocation and mission. We help each other to grow in faith and love as we share our gifts and talents for the good of the community. Thus in community we find strength, support and encouragement for our mission.
Study Study is an important aspect for us Daughters of St Paul. It prepares us for our beautiful but demanding mission. For each Daughter of St Paul, study is an indispensable charismatic and vocational identity. Life involves study right from its very beginning.
Would you like to be one of us? You need to have • A strong desire to serve God through your brothers and sisters; • Love for the mission of the Daughters of St Paul; • A good, balanced, sociable and generous character; • Capacity to live in the community; • Good health; • Have completed secondary school education with a grade that would allow you to enter a state university in your respective nation; • An age; between 18 and 26 years.
